Peter Rotolo

 

Peter is a senior member of Toronto Emergency Services / Toronto Paramedical Service, with over 40 years of community service. During his service Peter has received the Governor Generals Exemplary Service Medal with Bar along with the Provincial EMS Medal.

 

As a senior member of Toronto Emergency Medical Service (TEMS) / Toronto Paramedical Service (TPS) Peter is self-motivated, professional and has a proven track record of success - development of Policy, Procedures, Training and Emergency Response.

 

His expertise has been sought by many organizations as a conference speaker and his expert opinion into response and mitigation of major events, (e.g. London England Subway bombing)

 

Peter was the lead for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care in the planning and development of the EMS response for the recent G8/20 Summit along with the Papal visit

 

Since 1999 Peter has been a proponent of Incident Management System (IMS) and was a founding member and developer of the Ontario model for EMS. Peter has been the IMS Commander for such major events as the Air France crash, Sunrise Propane Explosion, Toronto TTC subway crash along with the Dazing St mass shooting.

 

Peter has a long career in implementing new and innovating programs into pre-hospital care such as Special Teams, e.g. (Public Safety Unit, Chemical Biology Radiology Nuclear Explosive (CBRNE), Heavy Urban Search And Rescue (HUSAR), Emergency Support Unit (ESU) & Toronto Police’s Emergency Task Force Paramedic programs). Peter has helped develop the standard other services model their teams after.
